REGULAR STREAM

A study permit allows foreign nationals to study in Canada at any Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) for a period of 6 months or more unless failing within the exemptions. A study permit is usually valid for the length of your study program, plus an extra 90 days. The 90 days let you prepare to leave Canada or apply to extend your stay. You may also apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) after completion of studies, in certain cases.

It is extremely important to note that denials of study permit applications are not appealable. It may however be contested in Federal Courts thru Judicial Review which is very costly and tedious. Fees paid are likewise not reimbursable. Thus, it is important to engage a professional to save time, efforts and money.
